Hello! I'm Olivia, and I am a dedicated individual who thrives when I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community and build relationships with people. With a diverse background spanning from hospital work, coaching, and customer service, I bring a blend of compassion, adaptability, and expertise to every role I undertake. My passion for supporting others was catalysed during my time in the Covid-19 team at RNSH and through my studies at university. During my time at the hospital, I honed my skills in patient care, empathy, and resilience, learning firsthand the importance of listening without judgment and upholding the hospital's CORE values (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment). This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for listening to understand not to respond. ^& ^&3. One way I could share my skills or hobbies with someone in the community is my interest in journalling and scrapbooking. I feel that scrapbooking is a great way to record memories, document experiences and express oneself through art and craft. I personally keep a scrapbook journal and find it rewarding to my creative expression and it brings me joy. I could share my passion by coaching others on ways to scrapbook and journal, with journal prompts (for writing) and I can collect materials to inspire (for scrapbooking). This could be me bringing in old magazines, newspapers and bringing 'bits' from previous support sessions (such as art gallery brocheres, tickets etc) to put into the journal for members of the community to look back on certain activities. ^&
