In my role as a behaviour therapist, I have worked with many families and individuals who need extra support. I have noticed that there is a sense of isolation when you live with a disability or mental illness, and I would love to be someone that can provide company and fun experiences. I think I will be a good social carer because I worked with a wide variety of disability - ASD, ADHD, GDD, anxiety, depression etc, and I have seen first hand how difficult it can be to connect with others. I believe I have the background knowledge in psychology to create meaningful relationships. Some of my hobbies include going to the movies, going to concerts, cooking, painting/drawing, shopping, studying psychology, going to the zoo, karaoke and trying new foods at different restaurants and cafes. An interesting fact about me is that I have a wide variety of skills that I have picked up during my jobs. I have a Cert 3 in commercial cookery (I love cooking), I know how to make a cocktail (cert II in hospitality), I know how to make a coffee (I completed a barista course), I was trained in luxury makeup and perfume (I worked at Tom Ford and David Jones) and I have a sense of fashion and I’m great at folding clothes (working at Ralph Lauren).
