I think I would make a great support worker as I have a genuine passion for people. I’m empathetic and care a great deal that the people in my community have as full of a life as possible. I have a background in hospitality and the service industry. I’m a qualified chef – completing a certificate III in commercial cookery. By far my favourite aspect of hospitality was working with people. I come from a large and close family and value those connections greatly. I would like to be working in an industry where I can help others have the same sense of community and family. I have multiple friends who have mental ill health. I have a friend with schizophrenia and another with depression who suffers with suicidal ideation. On multiple occasions I have supported them through difficult patches in their life. ^& ^&As previously mentioned I have a cert III in commercial cookery. That is a skill I would love to share with others to help them towards a more full and independent life. I love to cook in my spare time and try all different types of food. It’s an outlet for my creativity and I also love the social aspect of cooking – it’s an activity that brings people together. ^&
