Interacting with different people is one of my favourite things to do! Getting to know each other and share stories is so invaluable. I come from a family where we travelled a lot growing up living through Australia and overseas in Asia and the UK. As such, meeting and conversing with people - especially where language and other cultural differences act as a barrier - became second nature. I believe this is a factor that led me into the path of Nursing. I have completed two years of my degree and through this, I have gained such insight into what it takes to be an empathetic and caring individual. I am open to trying lots of different activities, and love being exposed to new ideas. However nothing does beat a nice walk on the beach or dip in the water, or listening to some music while making a new piece of art. ^& ^&As mentioned, art is a major hobby of mine. I love drawing and painting, and found the passion in my Drawing and Talking qualification to accurately reflect this. I will share this skill (along with many more) by encouraging someone in the community to put pen or paint to paper with no intent or purpose. The hurdle k found most challenging when starting to discover art making, was the need to follow rules or guidelines. However art is completely subjective and intimate between the artist and their work. I would encourage the person in the community to keep a personal art diary in which they can draw, sketch, paint etc anything they like at any time. ^&
