For years I have worked within the healthcare setting helping to promote independence for those that need an extra helping hand or words of encouragement. I find social care and community support roles extremely rewarding and fulfilling. A small act can really make a big change in someones life. I am fun, friendly, creative and love brining people together. Back in Ireland I have volunteered at the Yellow Road Wellbeing Centre and Social Farm, a family-led enterprise. I have gained invaluable experience working with children and young adults with mental health concerns. We innovatively use agriculture and nature to promote therapy, rehabilitation, education, social inclusion and equality. I truly love this line of work! From a young age I was part of many teams including school choir, orchestra, cross-country running clubs, Irish Traditional Music Groups but the main one being Irish Dancing. Irish Dancing took up a lot of my spare time. I was competing regularly at high levels and training 4-5 evenings per week. At University I continued to dance and created a dancing social group teaching other cultures how to Irish Dancing. I have moved from Ireland to Sydney in February this year. I do love travelling. I want to see the world. I love beaches and oat lattes. If I am feeling brave I will go for a dip in the sea. Someday I would love to go kayaking under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I take a lot of time building and maintaining friendships and do hold them in a very high position in my life. I love spending time with my friends and fortunate to have met so many lovely people while staying in Sydney. I have recently picked up running with a goal to run Sydney Half Marathon and City2Surf. I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Dietetics with First Class Honors from Ulster University. I received an award for placing second highest academically among all graduates. In high school I also was awarded outstanding academic excellence after achieving A*AA in my A-Level Exams. That being said I am an extremely hard worker. I maintained a high level of organisation, determination and ambition to get these results. After graduating I took on a role as Registered Dietitian in my local hospital working in a range of areas including enteral feeding, nutritional support, gastroenterology and diabetes to name a few. Overall I am a people person and love working with people of all ages every day.
