Full of compassion for others, a listener who really listens and an open warm personality are some of my traits that have helped me have a very successful teaching career. I have a wide range of interests and am always excited to try something new. I believe we are lifelong learners, learning from each other and the world around us. My excitement and passion for my new Social Carer pathway will see me open to all sorts of shared experiences with my clients. I have skills across a wide range of areas and happy to learn new ones alongside my clients. I am creative, practical, logical and very calm under pressure - this has been tested over and over again in my career. I also love a good laugh and find that humour, understanding and connectivity with others is an important requirement for any successful relationship. I am a married mother of 3 young well rounded adults whom have taught me as much as I have them. I hope to learn as much from my Social Carer clients as they from me. ^& ^&Hiking and bushwalking- I live in an area rich with wonderful opportunities to experience outdoors at its best. As an avid walker I would introduce my clients to coastal and bush experiences that are some of the best in Sydney eg Manly to Shelley Beach, Manly to the Spit ( or part thereof), Manly to South Curl Curl, North Head, Manly Dam. We could incorporate some of the following into our day- The Manly Art Gallery, fish and chips by the beach, shopping in The Corso or at Warringah Mall ( or a movie if shopping is not high on the list) and a cafe experience. A ride on the iconic Manly Ferry to/from the city is a spectacular must do and a fun day out in itself. ^&
