I love to be around others and give a helping hand wherever I can! I am currently in my third year at the University of Sydney, I am studying to be a teacher and I absolutely love it. I grew up in a small town in the Hunter Valley, and I moved to Sydney to a boarding school to complete my high school education. I believe living away from home from a young age allowed me to grow up to be more capable, independent and resourceful. I have always been surrounded by people who inspire me to help others and it is something I hold to be very important. My Mum is a Special and Inclusive Education teacher and my older sister is a Registered Nurse. I love to be active, explore the wonderful places Sydney has to offer, learn new hobbies (I particularly enjoy the theatre and baking) and I ensure I have a healthy balanced lifestyle between work, social life and my study. I would love the opportunity to be a Social Carer. I hope that my personal attributes and my willingness to improve the lives of others would be suitable for the role. ^& ^&In my family, one of the ways in which we connect and spend time together is in the kitchen. I definitely have a sweet tooth and I love to bake sweet treats. I would love to share my love and skill of baking with someone in the community by being a guiding hand in the kitchen. As a future teacher, I believe hands on learning is one of the best ways to learn, and it is something that I believe I would be great at doing. Cooking not only is a way to have fun, but I believe it's an important lifeskill. By teaching someone to cook, I hope that I can assist them to be more independent and capable in their day to day life. ^&
