My name is Lalaine Chan a Chinese-Filipino resident of Lane Cove, NSW. I'm a proud parent to three young adults with values of kindness and compassion. I worked for the past eight years in nursing home after earning certifications in Community Service, Health and Leisure and Individual support. Being a lifestyle officer in a nursing home for so many years is a highly rewarding job. too much happiness to count. Now, I want to be a social carer because I believe in helping people and making them happy. I have skills and experiences that I want to share to improve others' lives. Whether it's providing practical help or emotional support, I want to make a positive difference in the world by assisting those in need. My goal is to create a more caring and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and supported." One of my passions is helping and cheering up people with disabilities and dementia. I enjoy communicating with them, listening to their stories, and engaging in activities like cooking, singing, dancing, gardening, and making simple art and craft. I have a great sense of humor. In my free time, I like watching documentaries and movies, playing simple tunes on the keyboard, listening to music, and meditating." I have extensive experience as a lifestyle assistant at a nursing home, where I've worked with elderly individuals and those with dementia for many years.
