I always had a passion in doing social caring ever since I was young. I started as early as high school where I participated in a program for teaching blind youth on how to use the computer integrated with braille and audio functions. I was also a Red Cross volunteer during my college days where I was involved in restoring family links after natural calamities, standby first aider during events, and disaster response team member. Amidst the onslaught of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was the carer of my father who contracted the virus and was hospitalised due to a moderate pneumonia. I also cared for my grandmother who had a stroke and was paralysed for months. Currently, I am staying with my aunt who I realised also needed social support since she was alone in her house for a long time following the passing of her partner last 2016. My personal experiences shaped my heart to become empathetic and kind to people, especially those who are considered part of the vulnerable group. I am a good listener and a reliable friend to anyone who needs companionship and care.^& ^&I previously conducted a fee-free summer arts class for the children in my neighborhood back home. I also once did some tutoring for my younger cousins and their friends, and my academic background really helped in imparting my knowledge to them. ^&
