About

I am a current student enrolled in the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at UOW. Through my studies, I have gained invaluable knowledge concerning the predisposing, precipitating, and perpetuating factors behind psychosocial disabilities. I am also an extremely caring and patient person, and consider myself to be very open to others, which is a valuable trait for a social carer. I understand and deeply empathise with those who are disadvantaged in our community, and believe that I possess the skills necessary to empower them.^& ^&As an empathetic individual who is passionate about empowering others, I would approach sharing one of my skills or hobbies with the community with a focus on inclusivity and support. One way to achieve this is by creating a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to participate. For example, for someone who is passionate about art like myself, I could take the person to local art galleries and workshops. Introducing them to these areas of their community in a safe and supportive way may encourage them to seek out workshops or opportunities themselves, and further ignite their passion for art.^&
