I really enjoy spending time with others, making a difference to others lives and I am a very social being. Previously a school teacher I have a love of being around children and helping teenagers navigate through some of the tougher years. We live in a happy home, myself, my husband and our 2 teenagers. Our home is always open to all of the kids who all call me mum. I currently care for several NDIS clients with Cerebral Palsy, depression, schizophrenia, PSTD and peripheral neuropathy some with challenging behaviours such as OCD, mental health from previous trauma and hoarding. When I started working with clients I saw how beneficial I was to their lives to help them with daily tasks, companionship, social activities appointments, general assistance around the home and personal care. I have developed close relationships with my clients. My currently clients are all above 40.^& ^&My main skill to share with clients is how to live in a positive home environment with a positive attitude. If I can change a persons daily life by helping them to be happier, healthier and feel like they are kicking goals of their own then, I am making a difference in society. I will do this by being punctual, listening and creating two way conversations that are meaningful, helping to create a home space that makes a person feel good about themselves and using the community to engage a person so they are fulfilling their ideas of what creates happiness in their lives. When I fully connect with a person we laugh, we tell stories and we share life experiences with no judgement. ^&
