Working in disability and lifestyle support work for the more than 3 years has made me understand that spending quality time with others and providing them with the opportunity to engage and flourish within their community is so important. I have recently just graduated from studying my 4-year dual degree in Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Paramedicine at ACU in Banyo. I have previous experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy, dystonia, ASD (including non-verbal), type 1 diabetes, psychosis, anxiety, neuropathy and brain injury. I will assist my clients with their requests and needs so they are able to live to their fullest potential, ensure that they are engaged within their community, assist my clients to perform domestic duties such as cleaning, shopping, cooking and baking, communicate and collaborate with other carers and provide a shift summary, and will also provide an empathetic and holistic person centered approach to my care so my client's rights and dignity are being upheld. I absolutely love cooking and baking and trying new recipes out! I would be able to involve and assist my clients in the kitchen to help them explore new flavours and meals that they're willing to try. I would also love to go outdoors for walks and explore what nature has to offer with my client! Singing is also a large part of my life and I love to sing along to musical movies (such as mamma mia). My client would be able to engage and do the same thing!
