About

I am a genuinely empathetic person. I have seen my grandmother deteriorate as she battled dementia and age related health issues. I realised the caring and kind nature of the health care staff around and the support they had provided my grandmother and myself as her carer. I have also recognised the loneliness epidemic that exists within out communities, particularly within our elderly population. All my work experience has been primarily in customer service. I have had the opportunity to assist many elderly customers and this has honestly been the most rewarding aspect of my job. I have started phone calls discussing a suitable product for a client and ended the phone call on an unexpected a positive note and having a memorable chat. I have been told many times that the phone call they had received from me had been the most enjoyable aspect of their day and this has bought me a great deal of happiness. This has helped me realise that it is important that everyone feels listened to and cared for. I believe that kindness is precious and the most simple act of kindness can bring a great deal of change or happiness to the people around us. I would love to have the opportunity to help those around me and make their days a little bit brighter! ^& ^&I love nature and being outdoors! I would love to coordinate bush walks and nature retreats and picnics! I believe that being outdoors is not just beneficial physically but could be very beneficial for your soul and mind. From a simple walk around the Nepean river to a scenic track near Wentworth Falls, there are very many beautiful places in my community that could make wonderful day drips depending on the interests and needs of the person I am with.^&
