I have been working in Disability for about one year age care and disability for Canterbury community service and a company called CDNI care mental health and severe disability, am looking for an opportunity to apply my skills and abilities. I am very motivated to start working in the disability industry to increase my knowledge and experience and to be able to contribute and learn. I am keen to be able to help people with extra needs and be able to understand more about different people and different behaviours. I enjoy looking after people, providing customer service to a high level and providing support and care to people requiring help. I am a kind, reliable person and a good communicator. My previous work experience includes customer service in hotels (Meriton), food retail (KFC) and caring for babies and children. These roles have taught me about interacting with different types of people and about taking responsibility for what I can do and how I conduct myself. I am also studying Hotel and Tourism Management at university and believe the management skills I am gaining in my degree could also be valuable to your organisation.^& ^&Well one of my skills is I love cooking and where I come from Senegal . We are a very welcoming country and we love giving food to others, making other people try our cuisine so within the community because we are part of the Senegalese community here in Australia, so we try when someone comes from overseas then I have anywhere to stay or anywhere to go with volunteer to help them and make sure they feel welcome in the country show them around so that they’re not alone so within the community arm you have to be dedicated willing to help show that you are happy with what you’re doing, and then you’re happy to help others ^&
