I'm an experienced an adaptable carer currently working as Disability support Worker and I have been in the industry for 15 years. I'm a fast Learner and an empathic listener. The key qualities which drives my self towards the position are patience, care, kindness, respect, flexibility and mutual understanding. It is very important do understand the needs of the other person first prior to start sharing skills or hobbies. Understand the likes and dislikes and choose teh correct skill/hobby that need to be shared. Then plan, share and discuss your thoughts with possible ways with the other person. Understand the phase in which the other person can learn. E.g- using different types of learning and understanding methods. (vocal, visual, sensory etc.)
