Hi there! I’m excited to share a bit about my journey with you. Over the past years, I’ve been dedicated to my role as a Disability Support Worker, and I’ve found it to be an incredibly fulfilling experience. My journey has led me to support a diverse and wonderful group of individuals, building strong, trustful connections along the way. My experience covers a broad spectrum, including providing support for those with psychosocial and physical disabilities, aged 18 to 65. I’ve had the pleasure of assisting neurodivergent individuals and being a proud ally for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In my role, I offer a range of support tailored to the unique needs of my clients, such as grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning as well as emotional support, companionship and transport to appointments. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of accompanying clients to special events like concerts, the queer medieval markets, wrestling matches, and even speed dating. Outside of my role as a support worker, I'm on a journey of personal and professional growth. Currently studying for a Diploma of Counselling, I hold a Bachelor and Master in Education. I’m originally from Germany, but my adventure in Sydney began five years ago, and I've called the Inner West home ever since. Before diving into the world of support work, my diverse background includes roles as a language teacher, an educator at an after-school care program, and a supervisor in the hospitality industry. In my free time, I indulge in my passion for ceramics, take care of my many plants (I’ve got around 50), practice yoga, go camping, and enjoy runs in the park. While I might not have a furry friend of my own, I'm an avid animal lover. If you have a dog in need of a walk or a cat looking for some playtime, count me in! Lastly, for your peace of mind, I've got all the checks you could possibly imagine: Working with Children Check, First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening and Police Check. If you’re looking to learn a new skill or if you wanna hang out, we could make art such as ceramics or painting, get our hands dirty doing gardening, or cook together. I’m vegan so I could teach you how to veganize pretty much any dish. I make a mad tofu scramble but don’t worry, I also cook non-vegan foods for my clients. Please get in touch if you want to do a meet and greet so we can chat about how I can assist you to reach your goals.^& ^&I can teach you how to veganize pretty much any dish. Let me know what non-vegan foods you enjoy eating and I'll create a recipe to veganize it. We can then cook it together. ^&
