I chose to pursue a career in helping people because of my innate desire to care for others and enact positive change in their lives. Witnessing the hardships faced by many individuals while growing up fuelled my determination to address social injustices and disparities, and I assume this is what led me to pursue my education path too. Aspiring to become a clinical psychologist in the future, I recognise the invaluable experience and insights that support work offers in understanding human behaviour and environmental dynamics. My passion for social justice and equality, coupled with my strong empathy, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, align perfectly with the mission of social care work. I am driven to advocate for marginalised and vulnerable populations, using my knowledge and skills to empower individuals and communities to overcome challenges and realise their full potential. I am passionate about wellness (i.e., nurturing my health and body, eating whole foods, shopping from local businesses, etc.) and my future. The people closest to me say I'm a very driven person, and to that I agree. I am very passionate about my chosen field of study (psychology) and I enjoy reading non-fiction literature. In my free time, I enjoy doing escape rooms with my friend. I've completed about 20 rooms and the more complex the better! I'm also a foodie! I love trying new cuisines and dishes. I'm also skilled in gymnastics! An interesting fact about me is that I'm a bit of an 'old soul.' I enjoy the days at home, I prefer tea over coffee, I love jazz music and I prefer the sunrises over the sunsets. I love the serenity of my own perfectly curated space.
