Ever since I was a child, I have always been extremely sociable and willing to assist others wherever I possibly can! I am always enthusiastic about meeting new people and forming long-lasting connections and would feel highly fulfilled in an occupational role that enables me to do this. I am very inclusive and am always eager to form friendships with people regardless of their age, race, sexual identity or level of ability or disability. As someone who has had many previously ill, disabled or injured relatives, I have witnessed first-hand the immeasurable impression that one carer can make in the lives of those who need social support the most. The empathy, compassion and service they provide is something that I would be honoured to emulate in my role as a social carer. ^& ^&One of my biggest hobbies is baking! I would love to be able to share this skill with anyone who has a similar passion to me. Whether it be breakfast foods, a roast dinner or a complex dessert, I am always up for a challenge and believe that creating in the kitchen is more fun when there is more than one person to share the steps with! Although cooking is a lot of fun, I believe the conversation shared during mealtime is so much more fulfilling - so, I would love to be able to brighten someone's day by lending an ear, and engaging in friendly conversation.^&
