Hi there I'm a 40 year old indigenous women who is currently doing my Aboriginal studies to connect to my culture and gain knowledge to pass down to future generations.Im a mother of 2 grown up kids and my passion is helping people overcome mental health issues.Im a fully qualified and trained support worker and Im an empathetic person and always show compassion for others .My extensive knowledge in mental health as well as my Emotional intelligence qualifications have given me the foundation to assure my clients are cared for with their expectations and needs met.i have had hands on experience,lived experience and text book learning with my Mental health certificate 4 ,councelling and mental health first aid qualifications,also qualified in emotional intelligence which focuses on being empathetic and caring to provide the best service to my clients and build rapport with them to share a strong relationship so they feel safe, content and respected no matter which disability or mental health challenges they face.Growing up with a beautiful mother who battled with depression and bi polar sparked my passion for wanting to make a difference in the world.Its my nature to care and show genuine interest in people's lives and if I bring a smile to their face or lessen the burden they carry,then I have filled my purpose!I take genuine interest in other people's lives and try my best to help them navigate their day to day life weather its running errands,cleaning and doing daily tasks or just general chit chat and companionship,it's my pleasure doing my job.Doing things my clients love to do is what I love and aim for to give them the best life. understanding them is part of their healing and recovery.I feel that being relatable helps them feel at ease and comfortable opening up to me.Our days will be filled with interesting convos,trying new things and living life to the fullest.Because....You only live once!I'm down to earth and provide great Mentorship. I'm a mum so parenting is at the top of my list,besides that Im doing my Aboriginal studies,I take a strong interest in my ancestry and it's something I'm very passionate about,other than that I'm doing cultural arts.also part time which i love and I also collect coins and antique rare items so op shopping is a hobbie.i also attend an Indigenous women's group once a fortnight to get involved with my community.i love adventure and exploring new places too! I'm a loving caring person have done many courses in the past 5 years and even spoke at Parliament house recently about the cost of living to various politicians I'm proud of my achievements, I'm open minded and am a bit quirky.i love doing activities and trying new things and love getting my clients to try new things also .I always keep things interesting weather we do some gardening make a nice meal or have lunch at the park,I try to make my clients live their best life possible.
