I was born and grew up in Philippines, also came from a big family of 7 and constantly with extended family members. I can get along with different people, different age and abilities. In a young age I experienced looking after a new born babies and kids. I looked after them, bathe them, cook for them and play with them. I also experienced looking after my father who has become ill after diagnosing diabetes and had 2 surgeries in his lower genitals that makes him bed ridden for almost 3 mos. One of my task is actually clean 3 times a day an open wound hole that is big as fist. I helped him to do toilet and clean after him. I also cooked for him and do his laundry. My mom is not with him so I actually resigned from my job and looked after him for few months. I also looked after my granny who died at 89 years old. I also had 5 years old daughter now who diagnosed with heart defect since she was born and Kidney Cancer at the age of 1 and half years old. I am the sole carer of my daughter and I am there with her every step of the way until she recovered. I know I would make a great social carer because I know how to connect with people. I am compassionate and a very good listener. I understand very well the impact of someone who is always there to listen to you without judgement and just be comfortable with whatever you feel or want to say. More than the ageing or physical disabilities, I see that people just have a lonely heart and I would make a great companion.^& ^&One of the keys to share your skills or hobbies is to connect with people. You have to start to have a good conversation and let it discover the things that you have in common. Then I will know if this person actually have interest in my skills and hobbies and maybe gradually talked to the person about it and try it ourselves.^&
