About

I have been involved in care most of my life, assisting with the care of my elderly grandparents who lived with us in the family home. Their varying needs (Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic and Palliative Care for Cancer) gave me a deep understanding and value of the importance of person centred, collaborative, empathetic care. I have over 5 years professional experience as a support worker, working with the elderly in home care, with at risk teenagers in a group home and in disability care across home care, group homes, respite and community hubs. I am an asset to my clients, as a compassionate, creative, positive, efficient and friendly carer. I am led by the driving force to add value to my clients lives, supporting them to achieve their goals and expand their horizons. I love working with people, I get so much value from the incredible clients I get the opportunity to meet and build collaborative working relationships with! I am a practicing artist and I love engaging in art making, visiting art galleries and creative activities. At the moment I am learning to knit! I also love nature and enjoy bush walking, rock climbing, camping and bike riding. In the winter I love a cold morning swim in the ocean! I am a vibrant person with a broad range of skills to offer, I look forward to meeting you and discovering how we can enrich each others lives.
