I found my passion to help others ever since I had to help my mother care for my father when he had a major stroke and later passed away. Through that experience I learnt so much and have wanted to pursue a career within the community service sector. The past few years I have, along with my brother cared for my elderly mother in all aspects of her life. ^& ^&Depending of who I would be working and their interests. For example if the community member wished to go shopping, I would support them in writing a shopping list and safely transporting them to the shops and support them to feel independent in the activity. Another example would be if they were wanting to go fishing, then I would work with them to research best time of day, how to check tides and if they have right equipment. ^&
