My motivation to help others stems from both personal experiences and the fulfillment I've found in providing support. I once worked as a volunteer in China, spending time with children who were mentally disabled. One memorable event was when we took them to a theme park. Seeing the joy and happiness light up in their eyes was incredibly moving. Their smiles and the pure excitement they felt made me realize how powerful simple acts of kindness and support can be. Another pivotal moment in my life occurred when I was feeling down, and a stranger gave me a bag of tissues. That small act of compassion made a lasting impact on me. It reminded me of the power of emotional support, no matter how small the gesture may seem. This experience motivated me to want to pass on that same kindness and care to others who need it. I believe in respecting the individuality of others and embracing diversity. Being open to differences enables me to build strong, inclusive relationships, where everyone feels valued. My willingness to learn and adapt ensures that I'm always evolving, whether it's in a professional role or in everyday life. This blend of skills helps me navigate challenges, support others, and remain adaptable in a constantly changing world. I am an empathetic, easy-going individual who values diversity, listens attentively, cares deeply for others, and believes in putting ideas into action. In my free time, I enjoy a mix of activities that keep me active and connected with others. I love playing badminton to stay fit and have fun, while going for walks helps me relax and enjoy the outdoors. I'm also an avid reader, always looking to expand my knowledge and explore new ideas. Traveling is another passion of mine, as it allows me to experience different cultures and meet new people. At home, I find joy in cooking. I also appreciate the quiet moments of staying alone and reflecting on life. Chatting with friends is something I truly cherish, as it strengthens bonds and allows me to share life’s moments with those I care about. Although I don’t have extensive experience in the support worker field, I’ve always been deeply interested in psychology. Years ago, I had a one-month placement in a hospital's mental health department in China, where I gained valuable insights into the field. This experience reinforced my passion for mental health and motivated me to continue exploring this area. Last year, I completed a Diploma of Counselling, which equipped me with essential skills in supporting individuals through their challenges. While my journey in mental health is still unfolding, my commitment to learning and growing in this field remains strong.
