I think I would make a great social carer from my previous experiences in multiple roles aligned with this. Having worked with people with disabilities, children in care and having worked within homelessness also I found working with people to be what I want as a career. After completing my bachelors of honours degree in social care a number of years ago I have been eager to work within the sector fully but have not yet gotten the chance due to covid and other mitigating factors. I believe I would make a great social carer as I am very personable and enjoy building relationships with the service users I am working with. Activity based work has been my drive and an area I believe I have all the skills to provide for a service user that has the needs for such thing. Also Having had deaf parents growing up working within the disability sectors has always been my long term aim as I feel I can provide the support necessary. ^& ^&Having participated in numerous activity based roles I believe I could cater to any service users specific enjoyments. Whether that be in terms of fitness or exercise where I have played football for almost all of my life and enjoy playing many other sports or whether it is something in the arts and crafts area like painting or simply enjoying music. Being diverse as all service users enjoy different things is something I take pride in and plan to utilise in any role I acquire in the future. ^&
