In my previous job with the Detention Centre, when you get written or verbal feedback saying that you’ve made a difference to individuals' and families' lives, it’s really satisfying when they’re proud of themselves and you’ve been able to help them build up their self-esteem. Also, seeing people reach their full potential and watching them improve makes me look forward to work every day. I'm currently volunteering with PCYC empowering young people through martial arts. Over the years I have built up a lot of skills such as: building rapport, active listening, communication, and working with disadvantaged groups. When I'm not working I like to play sports, cooking, reading, music, and hiking. I can eat a lot of donuts!
