I am one of 8! Being the third oldest, I had to help out at home with cooking, cleaning and helping to look after my younger siblings. Furthermore, I have a younger sister with Intellectual disability and is on the NDIS. I have grown up to assist my sister in every aspect of her life. I am very much involved with her plan/goals. I work closely with the plan manager, OT and support worker to ensure she is getting the support she needs. I am currently working as an Early childhood Educator on part-time basis (Diploma Qualified). I have worked in Early Childhood education for 7 years. In my experience with working with children , I have embarked on a number of activities which exhibit my more positive qualities that I have thoroughly developed within the past few years. Such activities include assisting children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions or comments that extend conversations, use a variety of teaching techniques including modelling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing, encourage and assist children to practice self-help daily and establish and carry out a daily activity schedule that incorporates child directed activity, care routines and transition times etc. In doing so, I have shown I am a polite, mature, organized and committed young adult. I strongly believe these are skills I can utilise within your organisation and I am willing to take up any training that may be needed. ^& ^&I consider myself a great communicator weather written, verbal or non-verbal. I am able to read other's body language and show empathy and compassion and assist where needed. I have a passion for teaching and doing learning activities. This may include numeracy & literacy or life skills. This may also include life skills that I have learnt overtime which I can pass on others to help improve their lifestyle & feel empowered and supported. I truly enjoy creative activities. This may include dancing, arts & craft activities. ^&
