Hi there! My name is Brooke, and I am a student nurse! I whole-heartedly adore providing care to others, and I have adopted a passion for caring for children as well. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, as well as spending time with my pets! I have personal experience with the care necessary for disability support, as my brother has high-functioning autism. I have learnt how to appropriately and sensitively care for him and now have a full understanding on the patience required when it comes to caring for him. although he has become quite independent now, I am very comfortable in the environment of disability support and am well knowledgable on the condition. I would love to apply this care to someone else who also has a disability and help make them feel special on a day-to-day basis just like I have for my brother. My sense of responsibility and compassion, coupled with knowledge on disabilities, makes me a highly suitable candidate. Just to add for ease of mind, i know what to do in an emergency as i have gained skills throughout my nursing course. I have also gained a first aid + basic life support + CPR certificate, and have a working with childrens check + an updated police check. I also have my drivers licence and my own vehicle so that i can easily commute. i easily adapt to new environments and new people, which will be noted when i work with you :)^& ^&By doing a skill swap! I always would love to gain more skills or pick up another hobby that i'm interested in, and I would love to passionately share my skills/hobbies if it can create more lasting fulfilment in the community.^&
