I have always had a passion for helping people. I have worked in child care for nearly 2 years and have previously worked in front of house jobs (mostly cafes/restaurants) Childcare has taught me the importance of sitting and listening, and being present in the moment. It allows me to truly listen to what is being said by the other person and allows me to respond purely and genuinely. I have previous experience helping care for my grandmother after she had her leg amputation. This included daily tasks like helping her to shower, go to the toilet and get in and out of bed as well as taking her on outings so she got out of the house (took her out for lunch, went to the movies, went on walks etc) This encouraged my nanna to be more social and helped her with her anxiety and depression she had around leaving the home and engaging with other people. I also come from a family of foster carers, so my entire childhood consisted of new friends and "siblings" who I got to open my home to. ^& ^&I love arts and crafts. I love the smile it brings to peoples faces when they have completed the task and the proud smile it puts on their face. I would love to share my arts and crafts hobby with my clients (if they are interested that is) and show them how amazing it is to paint your own picture or create your own keyring. I also love mixing outdoors with arts and crafts, and enjoy taking photos of nature.^&
