About

I'm a social worker by profession. I was born in India, and I am of Asian origin. I did my bachelors in social work and have worked in the rural communities of India on sustainable agriculture projects. I first arrived in Adelaide where I spent 5 years and now, I have been in Brisbane for a year. I enjoy decorating my space and I could say by now I am probably good with making any place feel like home. I am an outspoken person with good active listening skills. I have experience working with different age groups. I have worked with elderly for 3 years, additionally as a youth mentor and youth worker for two years and as a part timer currently I work within child, youth and family space undergoing social, emotional, environmental and financial hardships. I have previously also worked for a year in disability space providing social support for a year. I am motivated by being able to bring some form of significance in an individual's life and helping people recognize and utilize their strengths.^& ^&I would love to share my interests as well as learn a skill or hobby to provide support for someone in need. For e.g. I can assist with taking an individual to an outdoor activity like bush walking whilst talking about their interests, likes and dislikes thereby understanding the individual to provide support in their socio-emotional well-being. ^&
