Hello there! nice to meet you, my name is Paula, I am from Colombia ( South America), I am 28 years old, I'm a lawyer in Colombia, human rights, and integrity defender. When I came to Australia, I had to resign from my profession, and I was under depression because of that. However, I received support from a community services company starting as a client and after became in a volunteer. Yes, that is how I started working in community services with elderly people for a year and became a support worker for two years. Due to this opportunity, I have found in Australia my true passion (PEOPLE). Working in this industry has been a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, and as my family are so far away from me, this job has allowed me to make a second family here which is the most rewarding for me. I love listening to people, I love talking to people, I love doing different activities, enjoying every day, and I am always thankful for them (my Australian family).
