I wanted to become a social carer because I consider myself a genuine people person, finding joy in connecting with others and creating positive experiences. After many years in retail and hospitality, I felt a strong pull to transition into a career that is much more fulfilling and purposeful. I started studying a Cert III in Individualised Support for Aged Care and Disability and am currently 3 quarters of the way through my studies. I am confident that my interpersonal skills, coupled with my genuine desire to help others, make me well-suited for this role. Im not sure that I have figured out my main passion in life however, I do know that my heart is filled when I am involved in anything that has to do with connecting with other people. My Hobbies would have to be singing and music. From a young age my hobbies have been very musical - involved in sining lessons, guitar lessons and live performances. However, since my Mum passed away in 2021, I have found it hard to continue on with these hobbies as it was something my Mum was very involved in. Apart from that, I just love doing anything with my friends and family. As long as I'm with someone I love, I could be staring at a brick wall and I'd be happy! I believe my skills are - emotional intelligence, empathy, problem solving and strong communication and personal skills.
