I am writing to express my interest in the role of a support worker . I have the right requirements to fulfil the role. I just recently completed a Certificate III in Community Service last November in Tafe at Toowoomba . Through this course , I updated my skill and gained an understanding of knowledge that I believe can help me complete my responsibilities for working in the community. I have both blue and yellow card , I believe I can contribute valuable services because I am reliable , well organised , punctual , a team player who is able to work on own initiative . I was a social worker at overseas for 6 years , I did the support worker coordination for a while to try to match the client’s need and to fit support worker ability . I worked for the person with disability children and adult and age care centre . While I worked for person with disability kids my task was have proper education which suitable for them and provide good carer . For the person with disability adults I enhanced the lives of individuals by providing personalised care and support tailored to their unique needs and goals. I also worked in the age care centre to create and provide the comfortable environment for elder, to empower and encourage them to stay happiness and meaningful. When I came to Australia on 2008 , I travelled in Australia from North to South, from West to East to explore my adventure and settled in Gatton after I got married . I started to work in the agriculture field for several years , I did vegetable picker in the field , line packer in the shed , line operator in the shed and I had chance to be a quality assurance . It built my confidence to work with people from different age ,gender and country. I am sure I also can be a good supporter worker if the clients and workmates came from diverse backgrounds . I am a mother of two young kids , I have devoted my time to caring two children while I working for the last 4 years. My father had dementia for years, start from minor memory loss and got worse after two years, aging did damage his daily function , such as toilet , shower and communication . We had several support workers to help us to help him to achieve the daily function goal everyday. They are not only help my father but also help the whole families to have a break and get stronger not breaking down. This made me decide I would like to devote myself into caring others who is in need. From my work experience and own family experience , I discovered that I love the challenge and the rewards of caring for not only children , but also the ill and the elderly. My experience as a mother and social worker has allowed me to develop my empathy , communication and time management skills , which I believe makes me an ideal candidate for the role of a support worker My greatest attribute is my love of meeting new people, my goal is to combine my love of meeting and spending time with people with my desire to help and support those who need it most. I love music, traveling , gardening and I would love to share this with people., I have a vegetable garden where I like to spent time there with my kids . I am easy going and make a good companion. I believe I am a good listener who is empathetic and sincere. I would love nothing more than to bring someone better quality of life, whether its helping with day to day chores, taking them on an outing, helping care for their pets, or just listening to them, this is how I want to spend the next chapter in my working life. I would love to help people to cook. To be able to work out nutritious , delicious healthy meal plans and teach people how to cook them would be beneficial to many.
