Hi, my name is Heather : ) About me: - I grew up in country Victoria although I have lived all over Australia for the past 18 years. - I love traveling & getting to know new people and am happy to try most things. - I am currently studying to become a Primary School teacher and I decided to major in special needs as I felt I could relate to others having experienced disability myself. - I have enjoyed working as a disability support worker for the past seven years and have had work experience in a variety of fields. My clients usually become good friends, like family. - I am a very happy, calm, flexible, versatile and easy-going person. I am a good communicator, can be a great listener, great with people who experience anxiety. - I have a strong faith, high moral standards and values and am respectful of others' differences. - I enjoy having good quality relationships and getting out in the community to serve others. - I love being active and social with my clients but I also don't mind sitting and working on art projects, cooking tasty meals and working on life skills etc. - Whilst at Uni I have sat at a desk too long and I have Narcolepsy, so if I can exercise and do things I love whilst at work it's a bonus and will help me achieve my goals. - I'm very open and always love sharing things. I belong to a church that has wonderful youth, young adult and self-reliance programs that I don't mind taking clients to, for fun and friendship. If you are looking for an optimistic down-to-earth, genuine and sincere person, I'm your girl.
