About

Back when I was school captain, my speech was all about including everyone. I even made it a point to get the average height of every single student in my cohort—because to me, every contribution mattered. That speech wasn’t just about numbers; it was about making sure everyone felt important. Eight years later, I still carry that same belief. Everyone deserves to feel valued, especially those reaching out for support. I wasn’t the most academically gifted of the captains (I was one of four), but I truly believe I was the most socially welcoming. I’ve always been empathetic, caring, and good at making people feel safe, comfortable, and even happy. My experiences at home have shaped me as well. I lived with my younger cousin, who has Down syndrome, and I regularly interact with my partner’s brother, who has autism. These relationships have taught me the challenges and beauty that come with mental disabilities. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a people pleaser (sometimes to a fault) but that’s just who I am. And as I work toward becoming a registered nurse, I hope to only get better at caring for and supporting others. I love spending time with my partner, playing online games with friends, and hitting the badminton court now and then. I try to meditate every day, squeeze in a run when I can, and work on improving my cooking skills. I do volunteering at mater hospital every friday morning and I’m always up for a good hike!
