My biggest incentive is to try and ensure nobody I know ever feels alone or isolated physically and mentally. As my biggest blessing in my life has been my personal support system, with such unconditional support and patience I am hitting each goal I set. I wish to give other people the same opportunities I have been given and am committed in doing so. During my clinical placement I saw first-hand just how hard support workers and families work to provide quality care and it ignited a flame that is pushing me to join and support in some way until I am finished my degree. ^& ^&The most important thing is to first build rapport in order to then share skills or hobbies, doing so will create a safe and encouraging environment for a person to either try something for the first time to further develop their current level. an example, doing an activity such as grocery shopping may be very challenging for somebody and having someone who is patient and trustworthy will make the task less daunting. setting small goals is something I like to do when completing tasks to aid in celebrating my small wins whilst also pushing myself towards bigger ones. Using the grocery store example, setting 2 goals such as trying 1 new food or keeping within a set budget. ^&
