I wanted to become a Social Carer because I have a strong desire to help others, which was particularly influenced by my older brother who has Down Syndrome and Autism. He motivates me to become a social carer. I believe I will excel in this role because I’m empathetic and a good listener, and I truly enjoy building relationships with people. I have a strong passion for social justice, which motivates me to work towards equitable solutions for people who need it. I believe everyone deserves access to resources and support. I also enjoy reading, particularly books on psychology, it helps me enhance my ability to empathize with different perspectives. Additionally, I love engaging in creative activities like painting, which I think is important in the social work field to express emotions. I consider I have skills such as empathy and active listening, and problem-solving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
