I find that when I am helping people, my life has purpose. I am originally from Texas and throughout my working life my jobs have always revolved around customer service. I find being compassionate, listening, showing empathy, and just being able to provide support where possible is something that has always come easy to me. I have personal experience with mental health issues as well and in those times of struggle I have always found that just having someone there to witness me in my pain and allow me to feel heard provides an exceptional amount of comfort and validation. I want to be able to spend my time advocating for those who need, giving support where I can, and each day being able to make a positive impact within my community. ^& ^&I love working with my hands and being involved in the community. This could include basic carpentry projects, arts and crafts, gardening and even cooking. I find helping others learn new skills and creating healthy outlets rewarding. I even love an opportunity to get to learn new skills and expand my own knowledge.^&
