Enjoy a scenic bushwalk and experience some of the spectacular gems that Australia’s nature has on offer. There are plenty of accessible bushwalks in each state, we have a few listed below.
Bushwalking is a great way to rejuvenate your mind and body, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind. It is also a fun way to get exercise and if you go in a group, meet some awesome people!
Tips for a successful bushwalk
- Make a plan: research the route you will be taking & choose a meeting point if you or someone from the group is separated
- Come equipped: bring plenty of water & snacks, pack some sunscreen & a hat, wear lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat in case.
- Stay safe: check the weather, pack an emergency kit, research the trail to make sure the it has not been impacted by weather & let someone know where you’re going
- Travel in a pair or group - best to go with someone who is knowledgeable about the trail or is a confident bushwalker
- Take it slow & know your limits - start with short walks & build your confidence

Bushwalking can be fun on your own, but it can also be a great way to meet new people!
With a bit of planning, a group bushwalk can be an enjoyable, relaxed way of getting to know others. You will find yourself getting to know one another as you follow the trail, sharing interesting stories on your breaks, and swapping helpful bushwalking tips - all while you take in gorgeous views. It also helps if you’re not familiar with the trail, that way you can be guided by someone who does!
